Joseph Tyrrell



Joe Tyrrell has an extensive career in the private sector and public service in the fields of governmental affairs, gaming, sports wagering, internet and digital commerce, economic development, and labor relations.

For the last 19 years, Joe currently serves as Regional Vice President for Government Relations for Caesars Entertainment, Inc. which own or manage over fifty casinos in the United States, primarily under the Caesars, Harrah’s and Horseshoe brand names. His main responsibilities are New Jersey, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and the northeast region of the United States.

Prior to joining the Caesars Team in 2004, he was the Director of Governmental Affairs for Laborers’ International Union of North America’s Eastern Region Organizing Fund in New Jersey, New York, and Delaware.

Joe has served as Deputy Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Robert Torricelli in Washington, D.C. from 2001-2002. He served as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for Senator Torricelli in New Jersey from 1998-2000. In 1997, Joe served as a Research Associate for the New Jersey General Assembly Democratic Caucus.

Joe currently serves as Commissioner to the New Jersey Casino Revenue Fund Advisory Commission, which monitors Casino Revenues and provides recommendations to the Legislature on how to administer the funds for seniors and disabled residents.

Joe also currently serves as Commissioner to the Essex County Utility Authority and has previously served as Commissioner to the Bergen County Improvement Authority and as Trustee of the Bergen County Economic Development Corporation. Born and raised in New Jersey, Joe graduated from Ridgefield Park High School and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Rutgers University.

He resides in Caldwell, New Jersey with his wife and daughter.
