Public Hearing Notice: Evolution Gaming Site Development Project – June 12 at 10 AM

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (May 23, 2024) – The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (“CRDA”) will hold a public hearing pursuant to N.J.S.A. 5:12-173 at the following time and place to discuss the project described below:

Description of Project: Pursuant to Resolution 24-59, adopted May 21, 2024, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority granted a Preliminary Determination of Project Eligibility (PDPE) for the Evolution Gaming Site Development Project.

By letter dated April 18, 2024, the Authority received a request from Evolution Malta Holdings Limited for a long-term land lease for a portion of CRDA owned land located at 2301 Fairmount Avenue (block 389, lot 1) to construct an approximately 130,000 square-foot flagship production studio for gaming related services. Along with the land lease the Applicant is seeking to lease parking spaces at the CRDA owned Wave garage.

The proposed facility would primarily include production studios for live online gaming content and would also have administrative offices for support staff and managers. The proposed project would activate an underutilized site creating a variety of positive economic impacts to the city, its business, and residents. An impact study prepared by the Lloyd Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism makes projections that the project will generate at least $113 million in economic activity over 5 years. Further, the study projects the creation of approximately 1,200 additional jobs and new households in the region.
