Public Hearing Notice: CRDA Renaissance Plaza Revitalization Project May 28 at 10 AM

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (May 7, 2025) – The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (“CRDA”) will hold a public hearing pursuant to N.J.S.A. 5:12-173 at the following time and place to discuss the project described below:

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:
Pursuant to Resolution 25-113, adopted September 17, 2024, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority granted a Preliminary Determination of Project Eligibility (PDPE) for the CRDA Renaissance Plaza Revitalization Project.

Along with the approval of a Preliminary Determination of Project Eligibility, the Board approved a $200,000 fund reservation to fund the costs associated with investigating current conditions at the existing Plaza, including preliminary concept designs and budgets, utilizing CRDA’s as-needed professionals.

The CRDA has conducted the current needs assessment of Renaissance Plaza to aid the Authority in identifying the shopping center needs and will present the outcome and seek public comment.

In addition to Project Approval, the CRDA Board will consider authorizing the negotiation and execution of a Memorandum of Understanding with the NJ Economic Development Authority to fund acquisition of the leasehold interest and improvements within Renaissance Plaza and necessary improvements to Renaissance Plaza to support the Renaissance Plaza Revitalization Project improvements.
