CRDA OKs plan to purchase, make over Atlantic City’s Renaissance Plaza – The Press of Atlantic City Article

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority voted Tuesday afternoon to purchase the lease of the Atlantic Avenue property to try to improve access to high-quality food in Atlantic City.

The current food store, Save-A-Lot, would remain at the plaza under the plan. It would be part of an upgraded development.

“This is another example of the board, the mayor and the governor being committed to a full-service quality supermarket being downtown in Atlantic City,” said Modia Butler, the agency’s chairman.  Read more from The Press of Atlantic City.  (Subscription required)
