CRDA Grant Applications Now Open

The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) grant application period is now open (July 1, 2025) through August 31, 2025. CRDA is seeking innovative projects that strengthen Atlantic City’s communities, attract visitors, and enhance the quality of life for residents, workers, and visitors.

Current Application Period
Application Deadline: August 31, 2025
This funding cycle is ideal for winter events and year-round community development projects. Applications are evaluated based on their potential impact on Atlantic City and the strength of each submission. All grants require CRDA Board approval and operate on a reimbursement basis. CRDA reserves the right to make exceptions.

Grant Categories and Eligible Projects
Community Development

  • Education programs and youth services
  • Arts and recreation initiatives
  • Health and nutrition programs
  • Open space revitalization and beautification
  • Cultural festivals and memorial honorariums

Tourism & Marketing
Funding public events and activities that benefit residents and visitors while highlighting Atlantic City’s cultural heritage:

  • Free concerts and festivals
  • Parades
  • Community celebrations that showcase local culture and history

Note: All tourism events must be free to the public, and events on City property require advance permits.

Government Projects
Supporting initiatives by state, county, and local government entities that directly benefit Atlantic City and its residents.

Who Can Apply

  • Community Development: 501(c)(3) non-profit or tax-exempt organizations
  • Tourism/Marketing entities
  • Government: State, county, and local government entities

All applicants must demonstrate a minimum two-year track record serving Atlantic City or have previous experience with CRDA.

Application Process
Step 1: Prepare the initial proposal on your organization’s letterhead and email it to [email protected]. The applicant’s proposal should address these five key areas:

  1. Type of grant: Community Development, Tourism/Marketing, or Government
  2. The applicant organization’s mission and track record in Atlantic City
  3. Project purpose and goals
  4. Desired outcomes at the end of the grant
  5. Proposed budget

Applicants can include additional supporting materials such as testimonials, graphics, or other relevant information.

Step 2: Once CRDA receives the applicant’s proposal, the CRDA staff will schedule a meeting to discuss your project in detail.

Step 3: After the meeting, the applicant will receive the formal application to complete and return within 30 days.

Step 4: The CRDA team will review and evaluate your submission based on project strength and community impact. The applicant will be notified in writing about the next steps.

Step 5: All grants require approval by the CRDA Board. Once approved, the applicant will execute a grant agreement provided by CRDA.

Important Timeline: Allow 3-4 months from initial proposal submission to grant award.
