ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (September 24, 2012) – With the arrival of fall comes “second season” in Atlantic City. Many favor autumn’s cooler morning temperatures and extended hours for bicycling along the world famous Boardwalk. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority is rolling out the welcome mat and inviting visitors who cycle, jog or stroll the Boardwalk in the morning hours to stop by the Boardwalk Operations Center at Indiana Avenue and the Boardwalk and enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee.
Coffee will be served from 7:30 until Noon every Saturday and Sunday through November 18th, weather permitting and while supplies last. Formica Bros. Bakery, a “Ducktown” Atlantic City tradition, is proud to supply the coffee. CRDA Ambassadors and staff will be on hand to answer any questions visitors may have, and offer a few suggestions of where to go and what to do while visiting Atlantic City. Special programs and displays from local retailers ranging from athletic wear, to bicycle displays will join in the festivities on various dates. Bicyclists can even take advantage of “free” air. Visitors to the Boardwalk “Weekend Social” can register to win a VIP bag full of DO AC, awarded weekly, or the grand prize of an overnight stay at Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City. There is no purchase necessary.
Whether you cycle, jog, or stroll the Boardwalk from now until Thanksgiving, be sure to stop by and say hi at our “Weekend Socials” from 7:30am til Noon so we can say “thank you for DO-ing AC!”
