Tropicana is ready to spread a little holiday cheer with “Twinkle”, a laser light show taking place in The Quarter’s Fiesta Plaza. Be amazed with child-like glee as The Quarter is magically transformed into a Winter Wonderland complete with snowfall, bubbles, lights and holiday music. - DO Gift Wrapping
Wednesday, December 4, 11 and 18
Too tired or too full from all the great sales and good food in Atlantic City to wrap gifts? No problem. Free gift wrapping is available every Wednesday between Thanksgiving and Christmas in the Arts Garage located inside The Wave Parking Garage. Gift wrapping takes place from Noon to 6:00 p.m. and proof of same day purchase from an Atlantic City merchant is required.

Ever tried a Torrontés? What about a Malbec? Be prepared to please your palate with all things wine as every Wednesday is Wine Geekery Night at Atlantic City Bottle Company (ACBC). From Cabernet to Chardonnay, Merlot, Bordeaux and more, ACBC is offering wine lovers the chance to sample some of the most unique wines and grape varietals anywhere. Take part in blind tasting as wines from the U.S., France, Italy, Germany, Spain, South Africa, Portugal and South America are showcased. Come celebrate the spirit of African heritage and values as the Atlantic City Free Public Library hosts the 26th annual Kwanzaa Festival at the Main Library. Guests will be entertained and educated with songs, poetry, traditional and contemporary dances as well as teachings on the holiday’s background and principles by Afro-One Dance, Drama and Drum Theatre. Visitors and residents can learn the history and culture of African-Americans at the Atlantic City branch of the African-American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey, located in the newly built Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton College. Featuring an extensive collection of African-Americana and works by local and regional artists, the museum is part of an emerging arts district that includes art studios and retail space. The Arts Garage is located on the ground level of The Wave Garage at Fairmount and Mississippi Avenues and is open Wednesday thru Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

The latest addition to the beautiful public art installations in Atlantic City, Heartwalk is an award winning sculpture built entirely from hundreds of wooden planks salvaged from the boardwalks of The Rockaways in Queens, Long Beach, Sea Girt and our very own, Atlantic City. It is designed with two ribbons of wooden planks that lift from the ground to form a heart-shaped enclosure that is illuminated every night. Visitors are encouraged to enter the enclosure and literally stand “in the heart” of the world-famous Boardwalk. They can share their photos and love for the AC Boardwalk using #HeartwalkAC. - DO A 3D Light And Sound Extravaganza
Here’s your chance to relive the wonder of a changing season. Projecting onto the façade of historic Boardwalk Hall, “Winter Sweet” dives into the magical world of winter portraying the elegance and beauty of the season. Enchanting kids and adults alike, the show will explore three magical winter worlds including “Snow and Ice,” “Winter Village” and “Illumination.” The show runs every half hour nightly beginning at dusk. Best viewing area is at Kennedy Plaza in front of Boardwalk Hall. Trump Taj Mahal’s Almost Angels keep the party rockin’ at Ego Bar & Lounge with their signature renditions of pop/dance hits. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and the Atlantic City Alliance have partnered with The Noyes Museum of Art of Richard Stockton College to create the AC Waterfront Sculpture Walk.
The winding trail begins just across from Farley State Marina at Golden Nugget and continues to Harrah’s. It is appointed with lush landscape, benches, attractive lighting and stellar waterfront and eco-friendly views. Sculptures along the trail add a new dimension of beauty and appreciation to the arts.

The pageant might be over, but Miss America is very much in the heart of Atlantic City. Take the road less traveled with a Road to the Crown Walking Tour. Begin your adventure in the lobby level rotunda of the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel and along the way, the history of Miss America will present itself before your eyes. Enjoy the dress display and shoe bar; marvel at the historical video and the replca of the first trophy, be “crowned” by Bert Parks, gaze at the wonders of the vinyl window graphics and tiptoe through the Miss America Rose Walk.

Located on the Boardwalk level of The Pier Shops at Caesars , “The Water Show” is a water, light and sound extravaganza, as well as the world’s largest indoor fountain matrix of 150 individually controlled fountain nozzles, a 19,000 gallon reflecting pool, 179 LED and intelligent lighting fixtures, which create illuminated water effects with infinite color possibilities, and state-of-the-art audio technology. The six-minute multi-sensory presentation runs every hour on the hour.

A seven-acre exhibition site located on Pacific Avenue between Martin Luther King Boulevard and South Indiana Avenues, “Artlantic: Wonder” includes works by Robert Barry, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov and Kiki Smith. The site currently includes two open spaces with two sculptures surrounded by 14-foot-high and 11- foot high undulating terraces covered in indigenous grasses and wildflowers. The Kabakov sculpture is a large, wooden pirate ship. Opposite the ship is a life-sized version of “Her,” a bronze sculpture of a woman embracing a doe by Smith surrounded by a red-themed garden. Embedded in the landscape surrounding both open spaces are Robert Barry’s illuminated text pieces. The landscape design is by Balmori Associates. The site also includes Peter Hutchinson’s famous “thrown rope” pieces, Robert Lach’s fiberglass bird’s nest installation and functional, cast-aluminum furniture and a gate by Jedediah Morfit. The second installation, “Étude Atlantis,” a large-scale optical illusion by artist John Roloff, is located at California Avenue and the Boardwalk.
