ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – (June 15, 2012) – Atlantic City residents and visitors once again will have the opportunity to enjoy a vast array of farm fresh fruits and vegetables, locally-baked goods and hand-made arts and crafts at the Atlantic City Farmers Market beginning Thursday, July 5 in Center City Park.
Farmers from Monteleone Farms of Vineland, Shady Brook Farms of Egg Harbor City and Hedgerow Farms of Williamstown will bring a wide selection of their farms’ yield from fruits like strawberries, blueberries, grapes, peaches, apples and oranges to vegetables like squash, cucumbers, radishes, lettuce and scrumptious sweet Jersey corn. Farm-grown and freshly-cut flowers are also available.
Local favorite, Rando Italian Bakery, famous for their delicious home-made breads, returns to the market this year with their irresistible tomato pies. Other market favorites, such as The Jewelry Boutique of Avalon, offer handcrafted jewelry, while shoppers can purchase various assortments of handcrafted soy and beeswax candles.
The Atlantic City Farmers Market, now in its 12th year, is held Thursdays and Saturdays, 9 am – 3 pm from July 5 through September 29. Center City Park is located on Atlantic Avenue between North and South Carolina avenues.
