Gary Hill was born and raised in Reading, PA and has lived in Atlantic City for 35 years. He attended Kutztown University in Kutztown PA, where he received his Bachelors and Masters Degree in education. He taught elementary school for 11 years and served as Assistant Vice Principal for two years.
Gary is currently the Executive Director & Community Relations Coordinator of the Metropolitan Business & Citizens Association (MBCA) which is celebrating its 30th anniversary as one of the region’s leading civic organizations. He is founder and chairman of MBCA Scholarship Foundation, which supports area students and teachers and has given over $290,000 to education recipients. The MBCA Charitable arm has given over $350,00 to Local charities and Civic events since its inception.
Mr. Hill serves on many charitable non- profit boards which include the Board of Directors of several outstanding organizations including Bacharach Institute Foundation, New Jersey Shore Arts Association Tara Miller Melanoma Foundation, Caring Inc. , Epicurean Society, The Principal Academy Charter School Board, And Advisory boards of The Atlantic City Ballet, Bay Atlantic Symphony, Atlantic City Day Nursery, & The Atlantic City ARTS Foundation. He also serves on many special purpose charitable committees that arise throughout the year for various organizations and events. Mr. Hill is also a Commissioner & Vice Chairman of the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authorities for 14 years He Serves on both the Engineering and Budget committee. He is also on the Board of the CRDA ( Casino Reinvestment Development Authority) appointed by Governor Christie. He is currently Serving his 2nd Term under Governor Murphy.
In 2002 , Mr. Hill co-founded the Schultz-Hill Foundation, a non-profit organization established to promote the Arts, History and Education in southern New Jersey. The foundation is located in Atlantic City. The Foundation has supported over 50 Arts and Historical Organizations and has given over $150,00 to area Students , Teachers and ARTS Programs for seniors and students .
