ATLANTIC CITY RANKS AS MOST ROMANTIC DINING CITY IN US; BOASTS SOME OF THE BEST GOLF COURSES IN NEW JERSEY
Finishes in the Top 5 on Most Romantic List second year in a row
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – (Friday, February 6, 2015) – With idyllic oceanfront/bayfront views and dozens of delectable dining options at an assortment of eclectic restaurants, Atlantic City has been named as America’s Most Romantic Dining City by OpenTable.
Atlantic City topped San Antonio, Texas; Providence, Rhode Island; Key West, Florida; and Birmingham, Alabama to take the number one ranking. Atlantic City jumped three places from its fourth place finish in 2014. You can view the entire list here http://blog.opentable.com/2015/opentable-reveals-top-25-most-romantic-cities-in-america-2/.
“This recognition by OpenTable confirms what we already knew: that Atlantic City has world-class cuisine, first-rate dining amenities and some of the most beautiful scenery around,” said CRDA Executive Director John Palmieri. “This combination of assets blends together to make Atlantic City a terrific destination during Valentine’s Day or any time throughout the year.”
OpenTable’s Most Romantic Cities Index was calculated by using three variables: the percentage of local restaurants that were rated as “romantic” according to OpenTable’s diner reviews, the percentage of tables seated for couples; and the percentage of individuals who made dinner reservations on Valentine’s Day in 2014.
OpenTable also recently named Atlantic City’s Cafe 2825, along with two other New Jersey restaurants, to its Top 100 Restaurants in the Country for 2014. Cafe 2825 is known for its Italian dishes and is located at Atlantic and Brighton avenues. OpenTable compiled its top 100 list from five million reviews of nearly 20,000 restaurants nationwide.
