ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – (Tuesday, October 25, 2016) – Atlantic City and the Southern New Jersey region is the place to be this Halloween for great costume parties, delicious food and drink deals, and frightfully fun times. There are many great venues, parties and happenings to choose from this weekend:
Tropicana Casino and Resort’s Ultimate Halloween on Saturday, October 29 includes a “Thriller” dance on the Boardwalk, a Halloween-themed light and sound show, giveaways, costume contests, drink specials and some mysterious surprises. The festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. on the Boardwalk and continue inside the resort from 9 p.m. and lasts long into the night.
The Thrills on the Boardwalk trick-or-treat extravaganza begins at 7:30 p.m. on the Boardwalk in front of Tropicana with a featured Halloween-themed light and sound show. Join the Boogie Nights cast at 8 p.m. as they reenact the famous dance from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” video. The first 100 dancers to register will receive a trick-or-treat bag. Twenty-five “treats” are up for grabs including a $250 Tropicana gift card, a complimentary overnight stay, dinner at il Verdi, a VIP booth at Boogie Nights and much more.
Tropicana’s Annual Halloween Costume Contest kicks off at 9 p.m. in The Quarter’s Fiesta Plaza and features a live DJ playing all of the Halloween favorites. The Best Overall Costume wins a $500 Tropicana gift card and the Scariest Costume wins an overnight stay with gourmet dinner for two and IMAX tickets. The winners of the Best Group Costume category each get a $50 Tropicana gift card (up to five members.)
The Boogie Nights Halloween Bash features a Halloween costume contest at midnight where prizes will be awarded, including a $1,000 cash prize to overall best costume. Other categories include the best 70’s and 80’s, most outrageous & sexiest costume with prizes such as an overnight stay, gift certificates or a VIP night out at Boogie Nights.
Cuba Libra will celebrate Halloween in style with a live DJ, guest entertainers, go-go dancers and costume contest on Saturday, October 29 at 2 a.m. Enter for a chance to win a grand prize trip to the Bahamas, which includes flight and hotel accommodations only.
Missile Bar will feature a Halloween party hosted by SoJO 104.9 on Saturday, October 29 complete with Halloween costume contest at 1 a.m. Contestants have a chance to win a grand prize trip to Las Vegas, which includes flight and hotel accommodations only. Celebrate three nights of Halloween at Ivan Kane’s Kiss Kiss a Go-Go from Thursday, October 27 through Saturday, October 29. Thursday will feature colorful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastical themes with Kiss Kiss Anime. Friday features the Kiss Kiss Freak Show Circus and on Saturday the Kiss Kiss’s Adventures in Wonderland. Best & Unique costume prizes all three nights from Midnight to 1 a.m.

Adult Trick or Treat Bar Crawl happens on Saturday, October 29 from 7 to 11 p.m. complete with appetizers and drinks at each stop. Dress up in costume for a chance to win prizes valued at $2,000. Show your Halloween spirit at Resorts Casino Hotel, with mischievous costume parties, wicked nightlife, and ghoulishly-delightful drink specials, plus over $2,000 worth of prizes. Margaritaville and Landshark Halloween parties are having one party, under two roofs on Saturday, October 29. Harrah’s Pool After Dark will host the Industry Halloween Bash with Paola Shea from 9 p.m. until closing on Wednesday, October 26. Admission is $10.
Pumpkin Bowling at Eden Lounge at Harrah’s Atlantic City on Saturday, October 29 from 8 to 10 p.m. featuring $1,000 in prizes for best costume and test your skills at pumpkin bowling with Scotty broadcasting live from the JoJo & Scotty Morning Show on 100.7 WZXL. Funktown 11 performs live at 9 p.m.
Borgata’s Music Box will host the Halloween Drag Show at 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 29. Admission is $25 and $29.
Haven Nightclub at Golden Nugget will host its Halloween Party 2016 “The Day of the Dead” complete with costume contests and cash prizes from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Saturday, October 29. Admission is $30.
Bass Pro Shop’s free “The Great Pumpkin Celebration and Halloween Event” will be held through Friday, October 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. and includes free activities, arts and crafts, and give-a-ways; Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30 from 12 to 5 p.m. and includes free light pendants for kids, costume parade and trick-or-treat Sunday at 3 p.m.; and Monday, October 31 from 4 to 8 p.m. and includes trick-or-treating, face painting and crafts.
Dante Hall Theatre, located at 10 N. Mississippi Avenue, will host the Halloween live musical show “Little Shop of Horrors” Friday, October 28 (8 p.m.), Saturday, October 29 (8 p.m.) and Sunday, October 30 (2 p.m.). Admission is $25 for adults and $22 for seniors. Additional showings are November 4-6 and November 9-11.
The Historic Absecon Lighthouse will host Haunted Tours on Saturday, October 29 at 5, 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Admission is $20 and includes snacks and beverages. Reservations are required by calling 609-449-1360.
Hard Rock Café’s Halloween Costume Party will be held on Saturday, October 29 from 9 p.m. until closing. Join in on the fun with live music, buffet, plus win $500 for Best Costume. $5 cover charge will go towards Hard Rock’s Heals Music Charity. Enter the Hard Rock Café through its Boardwalk entrance.
The Atlantic City Ballet haunts their new home with a performance of their time honored tradition, “Dracula.” Since 2006, “Dracula” has been mesmerizing audiences with its spell binding choreography, beautiful costumes and captivating music. This year, “Dracula”, which is an original work choreographed by Founder and Artistic Director Phyllis Papa, makes its premier at the Circus Maximus Theatre at Caesars in Atlantic City Sunday, October 30, 4 p.m. Tickets are $45 for adults, $20 for children/students 18/under and a 15% off senior discount (65/older).
The City of Atlantic City will again host Trunk or Treat on Monday, October 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pop Lloyd Stadium, Bass Pro Shops and Bader Field. Free tickets are available at the Atlantic City Police Athletic League building at 250 N. New York Avenue or at your local school.
The Playground Pier is excited to host kids from the Atlantic City Boys & Girls Club for some Halloween fun on Thursday, October 27, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The kids will show up in costume (all created & donated by the Key Club at Mainland Regional High School) and Trick or Treat at the Playground, starting at IT’SUGAR. After making several stops for goodies, the kids will then be treated to a pizza party hosted by Phillips Seafood on the third floor food court.
Celebrate Halloween on Saturday, October 29 at the Playground Pier with “Nightmare on T Street.” This unique venue has room for 2,500 people to enjoy six parties under one roof. Guests will enjoy $1 “you call it” drinks at the Monkey Bar from 9 to 11 p.m. and great entertainment like dueling pianos, live music, DJ, karaoke, and a “Silent Jersey” dance party. Vagabond’s Halloween Party on Monday, October 31 from 10 p.m. to closing will feature DJ Sammy, $750 in prizes for best Halloween costumes, bottle service, kitchen open all night long and no cover charge at the door.
Tomatoe’s in Margate is hosting its Frightfully Fabulous 17th Annual Halloween Bash on Saturday, October 29. Guests are invited to come for dinner and stay for the party, which includes live DJ, a $1,000 grand prize and more. No cover charge at the door.
The Historic Towne of Smithville will host a Zombie Walk on Saturday, October 29 (rain date Sunday, October 30) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Zombie Market will include makeup artists who will turn the most innocent of humans into a zombie for as little as $5. The Zombie Parade will commence at 6 p.m. The Witch’s Day Out will be held on Sunday, October 30 at 2 p.m. in the Baremore Tavern at the Smithville Inn. Scavenger hunts are given at registration and winners are announced at 3:30 p.m. Stop in at the Sweet Shop and guess how many candy corns are in the caldron, with the winner being announced at 4 p.m. Enjoy magical shopping and scary good deals during shop hours with discounts given to hat-wearing witches only. Winner of the best witch’s hat, best witch’s shoes and best junior witch will be announced at 5 p.m. at the Smithville Inn. Brickhouse Bar and Grill hosts its Halloween Costume Contest on Saturday, October 29 from 9 p.m. to midnight at the Mays Landing location. The band Sevenstone will play live, plus cash and prizes for best clown costume and best overall costume. Hosted by JoJo and broadcasting live from the JoJo & Scotty Morning Show on 100.7 WZXL.
Hamilton Mall hosts goblins and ghouls of all ages for some early Halloween treats at Level Up Entertainment, located on the second floor on Saturday, October 29 during Halloween ComicFest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
