Pacific Avenue Paving Project Resumes April 1, 2015
(Atlantic City, NJ, March 26, 2015) – The final phase of paving Atlantic City’s Pacific Avenue will resume on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 and is scheduled for completion before Memorial Day.
Crews will mill, re-set utility covers and pave the street from Hartford Avenue in the south end to New Jersey Avenue in the north end. During this time, there will be six-block areas with traffic restrictions of one lane in each direction. In the event road closings are necessary, police will re-route traffic accordingly.
Traffic restrictions will be in effect 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Jitneys will continue to operate on Pacific Avenue during the work.
Drivers are advised to use other routes to avoid delays. Delivery trucks will be required to use side streets in areas where the work is taking place. Sidewalks will remain open during the work; pedestrians are cautioned to avoid walking on freshly paved asphalt and cross only where directed by police.
