This project seeks to improve aesthetics, provide year-round activities that blend w/casino industry, create pedestrian-friendly, walkable neighborhoods, open spaces, strengthen the Basin and Absecon Lighthouse as destinations in clean/safe environment.
This project includes acquisition of property, relocation of tenants/homeowners/businesses within specified areas of the South Inlet necessary for road improvements to accommodate anticipated increased traffic to Revel.
This CRDA funded projected maintenanced and repaired the Absecon Lighthouse and Keeper’s House.
The CRDA provided $6 million for the Façade Improvement Program along Atlantic Avenue’s 1600 south side block, 1700 south side block, 1300 south side block, 1500 south side block and 1400 south side block. The estimated average cost of each façade project was $137,000.
This project was funded by the CRDA. It envisions a cultural corridor along Mississippi Ave by enticing arts and cultural organizations to a target area of the city. The impact: to establish a creative environment that will compliment the very successful WALK, and support adjacent businesses.
